At Lavo Laser we use the PlasPro 4G which uses only Medical Grade Neo Plasma Technology, there are very few machines on the market that are Medical Grade. The PlasPro 4G Plasma Device is CE Certified in Italy as a Medical Plasma Device and is entered in the ARTG (Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods)

What is Plasma Fibroblast?

The Plasma Pen is a revolutionary treatment for both face and body rejuvenation. Plasma Fibroblast is a non-surgical technique, where no surgical instruments such as scalpels are used. It is a hand held device supporting a single-patient use, sterile needle. THE NEEDLE DOES NOT PENETRATE THE SKIN AT ANY POINT.  When the Plasma Pen is placed over the skin it creates a plasma charge by utilising the voltage in the air between the needle tip and the skin.

Plasma is the 4th state of matter, ( the first 3 being solids, liquids + gas). Matter achieves this state when you supply enough energy to split atoms into electrons. The result is a cloud of free, negatively charged electrons and positively charged ions, radicals, and molecules. This cloud that consists of charged particles is called Plasma.

Younger clients, normally turned away by plastic surgeons, and patients with health problems too risky for surgical procedures, may be treated safely with this plasma device. In a Plasma treatment there is no damage to the skin but only a superficial thermal skin reaction. With proper treatment technique, no scars are created and the tightening is long-lasting.

The skin treated with the plasma device immediately exhibits a “shrinking” effect, however continued improvement is observed over the next 6-8 weeks. The skin heals very quickly due to a small area treated and the intact skin around the treatment site.

Fibroblasts are stimulated to create new collagen fibres and an ‘over- tightening’ is not possible with this treatment.

Plasma treatment is virtually painless and a tightening effect can be seen immediately after treatment.  There will be mild swelling of the treated area for a few days and small Plasma Dots will form, these remain for about 5-7 days and then will naturally shed.

How Many Treatments do i need?

This will depend on several factors, including the amount of skin laxity and the age, and the health of the client. On average 1 to 2 treatments are required per area.

How Long Willl the Treatment last?

On average for 3-5 years, however everybody continues to age. Therefore, even though collagen lasts a few years, the continuous ageing process will necessitate another treatment within this 3 to 5 year period.

Post Plasma Fibroblast:

  • For the first week avoid vigorous exercise as this will increase swelling. Sweating should be avoided as the Plasma Dots need to be kept dry and clean

  • Avoid exposing the treatment area to the sun as this could result in pigmentation, Once all Plasma Dots have shed SPF 50+ must be worn daily and reapplied every 2 hrs

  • Bring a big hat and sunglasses to the clinic on the day of treatment to avoid sun exposure when returning home

  • Avoid skin treatments such as Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Skin Needling or any Laser treatments for 6 to 8 weeks after the treatment. (Please check in with you Practitioner Prior to any of these treatments)
