WHAT IS FRACTIONAL Co2 LASER?
Co2 laser is a 10,600nm high-powered laser that uses carbon dioxide gas to create a beam of infrared light. The Cotra Plus is an advanced skin resurfacing technology that divides the laser beam into thousands of microscopic treatment zones, targeting a fraction of the skin at a time.Targeting Water:  The CO2 wavelength at 10,600nm is highly absorbed by the water present in the skin.

 

 1.  Microscopic Injury:  The fractional laser produces a grid of tiny, controlled wounds in the skin, instead of treating the entire surface simultaneously.

 

 2.  Stimulated Healing:  These micro-injuries signal the body to activate its healing response.

WHAT DOES FRACTIONAL Co2 LASER FEEL LIKE?

During a fractional CO2 laser treatment with the Cotra Plus minimal pain is felt, you can expect to feel a slight warmth and prickly sensation, often described as tolerable, a topical numbing cream can be applied prior to treatment if you prefer no discomfort. The Cotra Plus is the latest technology with less unnecessary thermal damage. Post treatment the skin will feel like a sunburn, stinging, and tight sensation for 24-48hrs post treatment is normal and to be expected.

Yes, the Cotra Plus Fractional CO2 Laser is suitable for use around the eyes and eyelids targeting early signs of aging like fine lines, skin laxity and crow’s feet. This laser is effective for eye tightening, treating eyelids, reducing both upper and lower eye bags, and improving the appearance of dark circles.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY FRACTIONAL Co2 LASER TREATMENT? 
 After a full-face Fractional Co2 Laser treatment, clients typically experience swelling and redness, skin can feel like a sunburn sensation. Over the coming days crusts start to form on the treated on the treated area, darkening in colour and feel like sand paper - these will shed naturally post treatment. Be prepared for 3-7 days of visible downtime and daily aftercare.
