WHAT IS SCARLET S RF?
SCARLET SRF is a non-surgical, minimally-invasive RF microneedling system that has been cleared for use by the CE. This innovative device uses continuous waveforms and primarily used for skin rejuvenation, tightening, lifting, and scar treatment.
Scarlet SRF targets face skin tightening and lifting, double chin, neck and body skin tightening.
Recently, Short pulse Radio Frequency technology TM of the Scarlet SRF was clinically proven to improve Skin Laxity, Rosacea, Acne, Vulgaris, Melasma, Scars, Axillary Hyperhidrosis (abnormal/excessive sweating), Hair Growth and Mottled Telangiectasia (dilated blood vessels). IS SCARLET S RF SAFE FOR DARK SKIN TYPES?
Unlike lasers, RF is not affected by absorption coefficients of the chromophores, such as melanin. For this reason, there are almost no restrictions for RF microneedling on skin types and skin tone, such that all skin types, including dark skin, can be effectively and safely treated.
THE "NA EFFECT"
The “Na effect” was first published in Scientific Reports, a journal of the Nature Publishing Group by Dr. Jongju Na. He named this discovery the “Na effect”. The patented Na Effect works by delivering fractional RF energy via tapered non-insulated 24kt Gold needles into the layers of the skin.
The energy is distributed from the distal portion of the needle and moves upwards creating a teardrop shape.

HOW TO PREPARE MY SKIN FOR A SCARLET S RF TREATMENT:

NO Tanning or direct sun exposure to area you are wanting to treat for 2 weeks prior to treatment

STOP using ACTIVE SKINCARE (Vitamin A/Retinol , Vitamin C, Exfoliating Acids for 5 days prior to your appointment)

4 Weeks post Anti-Wrinkle injections (Botox / Dysport) & Dermal Fillers

Any Facial treatment you must wait 2 weeks before Scarlet S RF treatment

Deep Chemcal Peels or Resurfacing Laser Treatments 6 weeks ( Consultation will be required to discuss in further detail)
POST SCARLET S RF AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Skin can appear flushed for up to 24hrs post treatment - make up can be worn 24hrs post treatment (mineral makeup is recommended)

Keep skin well hydrated and drink lots of water, at least 2 litres per day.

Refrain from exercise for the first 72hrs

DO NOT apply hot water to treated area for 5 -7days post treatment - Luke warm to cool water only.

Avoid saunas & Hot Yoga for 1 week post treatment

Avoid over exposure to the sun post treatment - SPF daily is a MUST as well as a hat and avoiding direct sun exposure

A histamine reaction can occur post treatment, if this occurs contact the clinic and we can assist you with how to bring this down quickly.

HYPERHIDROSIS - Excessive Underarm Sweating
Scarlet S RF can treat Hyperhidrosis by utilising thermal destruction of eccrine/sweat glands, once destroyed sweat glands do not grow back. RF can reduce sweating by up to 85%.
The treatment is painless and quick. The square tip will be pressed against the skin as such that every square of the armpit is at least treated two to three times. The energy that is applied effectively damages and disables the functioning of the gland.
There is no downtime or recovery period and you can carry on with your daily routine after Scarlet S RF. Some patients might require up to three treatments while others will have the desired results in one treatment.
The radiofrequency that is generated through microneedles are used to target two sweat glands at once: apocrine, the odor-producing gland and eccrine, the water producing gland.
